The BIS-net Awards scheme is looking to create a better network of understanding and support in the local area, starting with Exeter. We are offering free training to businesses and community settings to allow you to develop you understanding, awareness and skills amongst staff, whilst assisting with policies and procedures around access for those with Behaviour Support Needs.
Once your setting has completed the scheme, you will be given the award that can be displayed on promotional material to allow parents, carers and individuals to know that this setting is better equipped and trained to provide support around Challenging or socially isolating behaviours, with staff who can either assist or at the very least provide parents and carers with space to manage any difficulties that arise.
At present the training and consultancy being provided is free of charge to generate interest in the scheme, so now is a great time to get on board! If you are a community setting and would like to be part of the scheme, please get in touch with us using the contact form on this website, via email or by phoning Sam Harris on 077 1506 8494 or 01392 360645.
